Epic Games has tried to ensure that Fortnite is accessible to all players, regardless of their PC specs or console performance. Unfortunately, a month into Chapter 3 Season 4, players realize that the game is at its worst.
Several have complained about the game being laggy in the last few days. Players are experiencing several graphics and gameplay glitches. The frames are also highly choppy, making the game almost unplayable. It seems like the game is severely underperforming on low-end PCs, and one would need a god-tier PC to run Epic's Battle Royale.
The performance issues couldn't have come at a worse time with the ongoing Fortnitemares 2022 event. Players can try hard to unlock all the free rewards by completing the event's special challenges. They also need to level up 50 times to unlock the free Chrome Punk outfit, which has become impossible due to the lag.

Fortnite players are infuriated with Chapter 3 Season 4 issues
A quick search on Reddit and Twitter would reveal that Epic's Battle Royale game has a host of issues. Chapter 3 Season 4 has problems ranging from UI and mechanics to server performance and graphics. Even the state-of-the-art performance mode fails at resolving these issues on low-end PCs.
Some of the problems, like a Tactical Sprint glitch, invisible collision around the reboot card, UI problems on the PlayStation, Howler Claw glitch, and several crashing issues, have already been acknowledged by Epic Games. While some of these have been resolved permanently, players still await a hotfix for the rest.
Unfortunately, while the developers are constantly working on resolving the issue, the game still seems unstable. It is still unclear why Fortnite is so laggy in Chapter 3 Season 4, which has left several players frustrated and infuriated.
Community reacts to laggy Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
No gamer would be happy if they are experiencing FPS drops and lags even after having a decent PC and internet connection. Hence, Epic's game underperforming during one of the fan-favorite events has been a major disappointment. Many fans have taken to Twitter to express their problems and urge the developers to come out with an immediate solution.
The title is unplayable for the majority of players right now, and the developers need to come up with solutions soon. Players can keep track of all the problems and how to fix them on the official Fortnite Status Twitter account.
Hopefully, players will have enough time to complete their Halloween challenges after the problems are fixed and earn all the exciting free rewards.
