The PlayStation Fortnite Tournaments XP is a new competitive event announced by Sony on December 5, 2024, and will allow everyone to participate and earn some cash. The Fortnite console community has been rapidly growing — so much so, that Epic Games and Sony have been hosting the Fortnite PlayStation Cup every season for quite a while now.

How to participate
Only players who own a PS5 series will qualify for the PlayStation Fortnite Tournaments XP. Here is the eligibility criteria:
- You must be at least 13 years old to participate. If you are under 18, you need your parent's or guardian's written permission to participate.
- You must have an Account Level 50 (not to be confused with the Battle Pass seasonal level).
- You must have two-factor authentication enabled on your Epic Games account.
The open qualifiers for the Tournaments XP event will start on December 6, 2024. Anyone from any rank can participate in the event as long as they don't have any previous bans. Here's how you can qualify for it:
- Select the Fortnite PlayStation Cup by navigating the Discovery Tab using the Square button of your controller.
- Enter the queue and play at least one match to see your scoreboard in the Compete tab on the game's home page.
As of this writing, the number of players who will qualify for the main event from the Fortnite PlayStation Cup, and the exact timing of the event remain unannounced. The poster mentioned that the final qualifiers will be hosted by FACEIT on December 22, 2024.
Prize pool
The official blog mentioned that PlayStation Fortnite Tournaments XP will have a prize pool of $125,000. The method of distribution of this pool among the players has not been announced yet. The players will be getting free accommodation and flight tickets.

Venue city
The PlayStation Fortnite Tournaments XP event will be hosted in London on January 1, 2025. However, the exact location is yet to be announced. All the qualifier events will be played online and in all the competitive regions: Europe, North America, Brazil, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania.
