According to veteran leaker/data-miner @HYPEX, Auras and Instruments could be added to Battle Royale mode in Fortnite Festival Season 7. This means that you will be able to equip Auras that feature different effects while playing. It's unclear how this would function with certain Outfits that have their own lighting and other effects, but nothing is impossible in Fortnite.
The more practical addition to Fortnite Festival Season 7 is having Instruments feature as Pickaxes and Back Blings. There are numerous Instruments across all five categories (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keytar, and Microphone) that would fit the bill perfectly. Given that previous leaks stated that Instruments could be used as other types of cosmetics, this is more than just wishful thinking.
Nevertheless, taking into account that Epic Games has yet to confirm these statements, the information should be taken with a pinch of salt. The only thing that can be said with absolution is that the Fortnite update (v33.20) will go live on January 14, 2025, and usher in Fortnite Festival Season 7. Here's a bit of what you can expect to see added to the game.

Auras, Instruments as Back Blings and Pickaxes, and Fortnite Festival Season 7 to support Local Multiplayer
Auras being potentially usable in Battle Royale/Zero Build will be a big deal for many fans. As shown in the image shared by @HYPEX, Auras will allow you to make your Outfits look more epic (for example, Doom Slayer with a fiery Aura). Of course, this will only be cosmetic in nature, but seeing a bonafide demon slayer charging towards you using a Kinetic Blade will be enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.
On the other side of things, Instruments functioning as Pickaxes (to bonk other players) and being used as Back Blings, will, in a way, allow for more synergy between cosmetics. Players will now have more reasons to purchase the Fortnite Festival Season 7 when it releases on January 14, 2025.
Lastly, Epic Games has officially revealed that Fortnite Festival Season 7 will introduce support for Local Multiplayer. Up to four players will be able to play together from a physical location. Compatible plug-in instruments will be usable with this feature. For the time being, it will be limited to Xbox and PlayStation only.
