A Fortnite insider has leaked the major details of the Chapter 3 Season 4 live event. Although there's still no telling whether or not the information mentioned will come to pass, there's a lot there to take into consideration and process.
The detailed write-up and pictures shared seem to be a follow-up to the first two images that were leaked on November 25. That said, readers should take all this information in with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Insider reveals the breakdown of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 live event
Posted a short while ago by the leaker team FNBRSpoilers, two new screenshots of the Chapter 3 Season 4 live event have been showcased. In the first picture, the focus is directed towards the minimap that's in the top right corner. In it, The Flairship and the POI known as Chrome Crossroads can be seen.
In the second picture, Jonesy can be seen standing on something whilst looking out towards Loot Lake. Much like the first set of pictures released showcasing stills of the live event, these two also have the words, "DEVELOPER FORTNITE CLIENT" written in bold across the screen.
While this may look like the map of the island during v22.00, it's supposedly the playtest map for the Chapter 3 Season 4 live event. FNBRSpoilers has provided a detailed breakdown of things as well. The opening line of a note about the leaks reads:
"Hey, you can choose to believe this or not, however, I have insider information on the upcoming Fortnite event."
While this is not very reassuring, it has to be kept in mind that insiders have correctly predicted a lot of content over the years. Major leaks, such as Battle Pass lineups and other live events, were in fact the doings of insiders. That said, here's a breakdown of the chain of events.
According to the insider, they have been playtesting the map during the pre-stages and main event. However, no actual gameplay of the event has been shown to them. They've only been given access to test the maps and minigames.
Taking into consideration that leakers and data miners have confirmed the existence of minigames in the files for the live event, this adds up. Although the insider has not been shown gameplay of the live event, they do know a thing or two:
"During the pre-event, Chrome will be slowly spreading throughout the map. You will not be able to drop to the ground as there is (from what I understand) a glider deployment trigger underneath all of the floating platforms that brings players back up."
Since Chrome does consume all organic and inorganic matter alike, falling into Chrome will not be a smart idea. Thus, this glider development to keep players off the ground makes a lot of sense in terms of lore. Given that it's a live event with storytelling, this all adds up. The insider continued by saying:
"There will be floating basketball courts and IO blimp (Flairship) as well as the pirate ship (Driftwood) for players to land on and go to the event. There are also floating islands, however, those will be there during the event."
Since the first image showcases The Driftwood on the minimap, it's likely that the pirate ship will be moving across the map during the Chapter 3 Season 4 live event. Since it's currently moored above Launchpad (which is far from Chrome Crossroads), there's no other explanation at hand.
The insider also mentioned that there will be a white room in which the player has the boost jump effect. This is likely referring to the low gravity effect, which can be obtained by consuming Hop Rocks. Coincidentally, the low gravity effect was also mentioned by reputed leakers/data miners as well.
Is any of the insider information regarding the Chapter 3 Season 4 live event true?
Given that they mention certain effects and details that have been confirmed by leakers, this seems to be true. However, since the pictures cannot be confirmed as those from the live event, it's best to take things with a pinch of salt.
Knowing how much effort Epic Games goes through to ensure details regarding live events are not leaked, each set of playtesters may have been given access to certain areas only. This would explain why this insider has a different set of screenshots than the ones that were revealed on November 25.
This would make sense as without a complete logical flowchart, a few screenshots wouldn't be enough to provide the big picture. That said, the legitimacy of these images being real or not is still up for debate.
With so many leaks appearing each day, it's best if players stay off social media until the Chapter 3 Season 4 live event is over. Considering that insiders have gotten things right in the past, these may be real images after all.
