According to the latest Fortnite leaks, there will soon be a collaboration with Unreal Tournament. This is not surprising in the least, as the original game was created using Unreal Engine 1 and developed by Epic Games. This information was brought to light by veteran leaker ShiinaBR.
Here is more information on this crossover and what we can expect from it in-game.

Based on what was leaked, two characters from Unreal Tournament have models created for Fortnite — Samael and Garog. The choice of characters is interesting, given that they appear in the franchise in Unreal Tournament 3 and 4, respectively. Samael is part of the Necris race, while Garog belongs to the Skaarj faction.
Both have very interesting designs on the whole. Samael's appearance is similar to that of Mr. Freeze, while Garog looks like an Orc at first glance.
Staying true to the concept, Samael and Garog look very similar to their designs in Unreal Tournament. As with other characters from other video games, they will belong to the Gaming Legends Series.
Aside from the characters appearing as Outfits in-game, there will be other cosmetics related to them. Based on what was shared by veteran leaker iFireMonkey, there will be two Back Blings, two Pickaxes, and one Wrap that will be part of the collaboration. They will likely all be bundled and sold together. At the moment, the price of these cosmetics is unknown.

While the Unreal franchise is indeed still popular, it is a niche for the most part. Perhaps more details will be revealed once the Fortnite downtime today (December 1, 2024) ends, but it's best not to get your hopes up.
With other characters such as One Punch Man and Agent 47 already rumored to be added to the game later this season, there's already a lot in play at the moment. Perhaps a second wave of characters from Unreal Tournament could be introduced down the road, but that depends on numerous factors, especially how well the community responds to the first wave of Unreal-related cosmetics.
