Is the Miss Bunny Penny Fortnite skin pay-to-lose? While there's no official statement from Epic Games on this particular matter, it would indeed seem like the popular Outfit is pay-to-lose. Due to the fact that it's 'larger' than regular Outfits, its hitboxes are bigger. This, in theory, makes it easier for the character to be targeted in-game.

However, it would be unwise to make assumptions based on logic alone, and that's exactly why a YouTube content creator known as Birdo has provided proof for the argument. In one of his videos, he showcases how the Miss Bunny Penny Outfit has a larger hitbox by comparing it to an Outfit that is more slender in design.

The Miss Bunny Penny Fortnite skin is pay to lose due to hitboxes

According to Birdo, the Outfit in question is broader than most others in-game. This hypothesis was tested using the Mystique Outfit. The YouTuber shot a wall next to Mystique's Outfit to mark a particular spot. Next up, the Shapeshifter built-in Emote was used to turn into Miss Bunny Penny.

When the weapon was fired while aiming at the same spot, rather than the bullet hitting the wall behind the character, it inflicted damage on her. Since neither the weapon nor the character was moved in the process, it concludes that the Miss Bunny Penny Fortnite skin has larger hitboxes.

As stated, this would make the character a slightly larger target during fights. Opponents will be able to target her more easily, especially when using high precision weapons such as the Cobra DMR and Heavy Sniper Rifle.

However, in the grand scheme of things, this shouldn't affect casual gameplay to a large extent. But those playing in competitive mode should likely avoid using the Miss Bunny Penny Outfit and stick to more traditional Outfits such as Aura.

If Miss Bunny Penny is pay-to-lose, why do players still love the Outfit?

Although it's pay-to-lose to an extent, Penny is an 'OG' character in the Metaverse who happens to be a Constructor-Class Hero in Save The World. In addition to these two facets, she's also one of the few 'plus-size' characters to exist in-game. This helps establish representation to a large extent.

As such, there are two other Outfits associated with this Hero - the 'OG' Penny Outfit that was released in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 and the Ready Penny Outfit that's part of the Anime Legends Set. Both of these Outfits are in circulation and can be purchased from the Item Shop. That said, the former Outfit will cost V-Bucks, while the latter costs real-life money.

As far as it goes, Penny will continue to be a popular Fortnite skin despite being pay-to-lose. That said, hopefully, Epic Games takes a closer look at the hitboxes associated with the Outfit. Perhaps reducing them by a small margin should help level the playing field.
