According to working theory, players may be able to turn into Godzilla in Fortnite. Veteran leaker/data miner @HYPEX on X posted information apparently shared with him by @W1qAnimations. In a trailer recently posted by Epic Games, four players can be seen running into a Rift. The camera then pans, showing three players running away from Godzilla.
It has been summarized that one of the players who entered the Rift was transformed into Godzilla. It is entirely unclear if the Rift or an item within it cause the player to turn into Godzilla. It could be the latter since earlier seasons featured Rifts that would imbue players with Jedi/Sith powers. The same could be done for this crossover.
Players may become Godzilla and terrorize the island once the Fortnite update v33.20 downtime ends

Based on working theories and the official trailer posted by Epic Games, players could become Godzilla. A teaser/hint of sorts has also been found by other players. It states:
"Gear up to slay a titan, or become one!"
This indicates that players will be able to band together to defeat the kaiju. However, the duration of this transformation is unknown, but it could be until others defeat them. On that note, it is unclear what powers Gozilla could have in-game.
There's no denying that the kaiju can throw hands if needed, but the iconic “nuclear pulse" and "atomic breath" could be featured as attacks. These would, in theory, be powerful enough to level an entire POI in mere seconds.
There's another theory that also suggests the Shining Span POI could be destroyed once the update v33.20 goes live.
It would be interesting to see how these powerful attacks translate in-game as attack types and gameplay mechanics. Hopefully, they are not too OP (overpowering), and players will have a fair chance at dealing with Godzilla. Maybe Epic Games will add weapons/items to help players level the playing field.
On that note, more information about the topic could be divulged during the downtime that is slated to begin at 4 AM Eastern Time, on January 14, 2025.
Leakers/data miners should be able to provide in-depth details regarding Godzilla and everything else related to the kaiju. You can read about the content that can be expected via the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 (v33.20 update) early patch notes.
