Shadow Tracker is one of the few Exotic weapons currently available in Fortnite Battle Royale. This weapon was first released into the game in Chapter 2 Season 5 and is a special variant of a suppressed pistol.

What makes this weapon special is its tagging perk. Whenever players hit enemies with it, the enemies will be tagged for a brief duration. Because of this, it becomes much easier to track enemy movements momentarily.

As you can see in GKI's video above, the Fortnite weapon has a special feature in Chapter 4 Season 1. While Epic Games hasn't confirmed it, it is very likely that it's just a glitch since the Shadow Tracker can now be used to shoot through walls and buildings.

The weapon is very useful in classic modes where players can build structures. It is even possible for players to completely hide behind a wall while damaging their enemies with the weapon.

The image above shows a player who is completely covered by a wall, yet is able to hit shots consistently with the Shadow Tracker. This should definitely not be the case as builds are supposed to stop bullets.

With any other Fortnite weapon, players can simply hit the cone that is located in front of the player. However, the Shadow Tracker completely ignores this build and hits an enemy that is taking cover behind it.

Considering that the weapon is broken, there is a good chance that Epic Games will fix it soon. In the meantime, the video game developer may disable the pistol to prevent players from abusing it.

Where to buy Shadow Tracker in Fortnite?

The weapon can be purchased from Evie for 400 Gold bars. Evie is located at Shore Shack, a landmark south of Shattered Slabs. The NPC spawns there every game and is mostly located inside a blue house in the area.

If you do not have enough Gold bars, the easiest way to earn them is to complete bounties. Exotic weapons are relatively expensive, but they are definitely worth it.
