“To infinity, and the storm”: Fortnite community reacts to player’s hilarious glitch with the Tow Hook Cannon

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has been packed with content, with Epic Games constantly adding and introducing new elements to go with the overall Mad Max-inspired landscape of the season. One such recently introduced addition is the Tow Hook Cannon, an item that not only allows players to effectively counter cars but also attaches them to vehicles to get strung along.

However, while the Tow Hook Cannon is undoubtedly an effective way to counter cars in Chapter 5 Season 3, it comes with its fair share of glitches and bugs. This is highlighted by a recent Reddit clip shared by u/ConnorTheCorn23, where the player can be seen in a Trios Zero Build match, donning the Megumi Fushiguro Outfit. As the player attached themself to their teammates' vehicle, a glitch caused them to get launched straight into the stratosphere.

The Reddit clip attracted a lot of attention from members of the community, with Reddit user u/delo357 poking fun at the intensity of the launch and comparing it to the classic Buzz Lightyear catchphrase, stating:

Other members also took to the comments to joke about the player's hilarious mishap with the Tow Hook Cannon, with Reddit user u/subtleduck42 stating how the player was launched into space, into the storm that forms on the moon. Meanwhile, Reddit user u/JubieFN observed how the glitch showcased in the clip was always one of the best ones out there.

Reddit user u/thelordOmega000, on the other hand, joked about how the player was launched so far into the sky that they might end up in Chapter 6. Funnily enough, Chapter 6 is rumoured to be themed around Sky Islands, further adding to the humor of the comment.

How to get the Tow Hook Cannon in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

The Tow Hook Cannon was introduced to the game with the v30.10 update. As mentioned earlier, it allows players to attach themselves to vehicles while dealing 100 damage to enemies if fired at a player. Additionally, the item can deal a lot of damage to stationary vehicles.

Luckily, the Tow Hook Cannon is not a rare item by any means and can be easily found in Chests and floor loot all across the Island, making it incredibly easy to find during a match.
