Top 5 Fortnite combat Augments in Chapter 4 Season 1

Augments were introduced to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 1. As of the update v23.10, there are 22 of them in-game, and more will be added at a later stage.

What makes Augments powerful is that they provide players with special buffs for the duration of the match. Arrows travel at a phenomenal rate in-game. From the moment an arrow is let fly to when it makes an impact, players have fractions of a second to react.

Adept marksmen can use their bows to gain an unquestionable combat advantage in-game. Using the Bow Specialist Augment, players can further utilize the bow's power in-game.

What makes this perk so powerful is that bows draw and reload faster. This will allow players to spend very little time having to charge up the shot. Additionally, the Augment also allows arrows to regenerate in the player's inventory over time.

4) Demolitions Munitions

Demolitions Munitions is a great Augment for players who enjoy using explosives in-game. Whenever an object is destroyed, there's a chance that it will drop explosives. This includes grenades and rocket ammo.

Given that the Snowball Launcher has been added to the loot pool for Winterfest 2022, players can make use of this Augment by keeping their ammo supply full. Although the festivities won't last forever, the Augment will still be useful once the Rocket Launcher is added back to the game.

The First Assault Augment is a powerful buff that can be used throughout the match. Upon selecting it, the first bullet fired from any weapon that falls under the Assault Rifle category deals extra damage (like the Prime Shotgun).

Players can re-use this buff as many times as needed by reloading their magazine. While it may be a tedious task, players can leverage the bonus damage to make the most of their engagements and mid-range fights.

For players who enjoy the thrill of the hunt or want to reminisce about Chapter 2 Season 6, the Mechanical Archer Augment is the perfect pick. Upon selecting it, an Explosive and Shockwave Bow will appear in the inventory or on the ground if the player does not have two free slots.

What makes this Augment great is that players will not have to search high and low to find these two types of bows in-game. It reduces the time spent looking for them and allows players to focus on finding arrows and other utility items.

Of all the Augments available to players in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 (v23.10), Tactical Armory is by far the best. Upon selecting it, a Rare Tactical AR and Combat Shotgun will appear in the inventory (if there's space) or on the ground next to the player.

Although these weapons may not be the best in the loot pool, they can be upgraded using gold bars. Since they provide both mid-range and close-range combat capabilities, this Augment is extremely useful during the early game. The only downside is that it's super rare, and only a handful of players have been able to unlock it.
