Riot Games recently announced their new Initiator, agent Tejo, for Valorant, and their playerbase seems very excited about it. On the other hand, a lot of comments were from the Fortnite community regarding the originality of the character design. Agent Tejo supposedly has a high resemblance to Geno, an important character from the Fortnite lore.

Popular Fortnite information provider @ShiinaBR, who has over 1.7 million followers on X, posted an image of Geno and said that Valorant players got him before Fortnite players. This is because Geno, despite being an important part of the in-game lore, never actually got added as a playable skin in Fortnite. The post gained over 5,000 likes and hundreds of comments. The caption reads:

@ShiinaBR's post features Geno in a black suit wearing sunglasses, while the image tagged below it, posted by @ValorLeaks, features a close-up shot of agent Tejo. If you noticed, both of them seem to have very similar facial structures, and their hairstyles are almost identical, with a specific section being white and slightly curled. This is the reason behind the comparison between the characters.

The post received various opinions from the Fortnite community. User @LicorneLoveU and @AlignedEclipse commented regarding the resemblance of Geno in agent Tejo, while users like @JosueP_FRK and @coolestguy11465 were seemingly surprised seeing Shiina's post.

User @Leozzarios believes that a Fortnite x Valorant collaboration would be great. @Kujugo_999 had a similar opinion too. Such a collaboration is not impossible, as Riot Games has previously collaborated with Epic Games to provide Arcane skins in Fortnite.

On the other hand, a lot of players are criticizing Fortnite for diverting from the original lore. @Aether_Rav3 believes that Epic Games cut off the lore during the climax, while @dackallah says Fortnite lacks originality now. User @Kumar_Ak1705 mentioned how he is still waiting for the Geno skin. @Not_AIIan also had a comment regarding the downfall of the Fortnite lore.

Is Valorant's agent Tejo inspired by Fortnite's Geno?

Based on the comments and information we have so far, Valorant may have taken some inspiration from Fortnite's Geno for Tejo's character design. However, this does not mean Riot Games has ripped off Geno in any way. Apart from the hairstyle and the facial features, nothing else seems to be similar. Both characters have different origins, costume designs, and themes.

Agent Tejo will be arriving as a playable character with the first major Valorant update of 2025. However, the exact date is yet to be announced. On the other hand, there is no information regarding the addition of Geno in Fortnite.
