The main difference between Battle Pass (regular) levels and Account Levels in Fortnite is that Battle Pass levels reset at the start of every single season. Whenever Epic Games releases a new Fortnite season, every player goes back to level 1 and has to level up once again.

On the contrary, Account Levels never reset and they accumulate throughout multiple seasons. Due to this, Fortnite players who began playing when the video game had just come out, generally have a higher Account Level than newer players.

Epic Games has introduced Midseason Drops with the new Battle Pass, which calls for Account Levels from players. This is extremely unusual given that all other items require either completing challenges or leveling up the Battle Pass.

However, it's important to note that these styles might be available even after Chapter 4 Season 1 ends. Whenever Epic releases skins that require Account Levels in Fortnite, these skins are available throughout multiple seasons.

The most recent example is the Chrome Punk skin. This skin was released during Chapter 3 Season 4, right after the Fortnitemares event, and remained obtainable during Chapter 4 Season 1.

Several other cosmetic items have been similarly obtained. Epic Games uses the Account Level requirements for Refer-A-Friend skins, including the Xander skin, which is available until January 10, 2023.

Considering that Account Levels in Fortnite are simply the sum of all Battle Pass levels throughout multiple seasons, earning them is extremely easy. To increase this level, you simply need to play the game and level up your Battle Pass.

If your current level is 1,250 and you earn 200 levels during Chapter 4 Season 1, your Account Level will be 1,450 by the end of the season. Additionally, this level will transfer over to Chapter 4 Season 2 and you will be able to further increase it.

This statistic is simply an indicator of how much you have leveled up since you started playing the popular video game. However, the only time it matters a lot is when Epic Games releases skins that require a higher level.
