Offbrand Fortnite is an alternative version of the actual game created using rudimentary code. While it may look like a game, it's more of an experiment created by teenagers learning to code. It has no affiliation with Epic Games and is not part of the Creative Mode either.
While the "game" is playable to a large extent, it doesn't work the way most players would expect. Then again, since it's not a fully developed project, those expecting to play a proper game will be disappointed. With that said, it's time to take a deep dive into the world of Offbrand Fortnite games.
What are Offbrand Fortnite games?
Generally, these sorts of games are pieces of code strung together by children and/or teenagers who are taking their first steps into the world of coding. It is very similar to Fortnite on Scratch. Players can create their own version of the popular battle royale game in a web browser.

Unlike the real McCoy, which requires extensive downloads and a rig or console to play, these can be played even on mobile devices. That said, they are fun to play when they work as intended. Given how finicky the lines of code can be, the games sometimes don't work properly.
Unfortunately, much like the scratch version of the game, the Offbrand Fortnite version also seems to have been abandoned. Considering how these are simple side projects done to learn coding, it's understandable why their creator(s) would choose to keep them aside after a while. That said, the game is still playable.

Conclusion
As readers would have guessed by now, there's nothing to win or lose in Offbrand Fortnite. It's best to take it at face value, play it for a few minutes, and move on. Since the project has been abandoned, it's unlikely that any further features will be added.
On that note, it's undoubtedly amazing to see teenagers and kids using code to make games. Maybe in the future, some of them will go on to work for Epic Games and live out their Offbrand Fortnite dreams by working on the real deal and helping build the metaverse.
