Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is nearing an end. The debut season of the latest chapter arrived in December and has been an absolute hit, but all good things must come to an end. This means that Chapter 4 Season 1 will soon reach Chapter 4 Season 2.
The current season was supposed to end today, March 8. That was a change from the original schedule, but Epic Games has changed the schedule once more.
They're going back to the original schedule. The original schedule was for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 to begin on March 10. After sending out an encrypted message that detailed this fact, it was confirmed that that will be the first day of the season.

They also confirmed that there would not be almost two days of downtime:
"To clarify any confusion, we plan to go into downtime for Fortnite MEGA Chapter 4 Season 2 on March 10 @ 2 AM ET."
This is not a major update, though there will be significant changes. However, Epic Games doesn't anticipate the downtime being all that long. Early in the morning on March 10, the servers will officially go offline, and then a little while later, they'll be back online with a brand new season.
It will likely arrive sometime around 4:00 am EST on March 10. Epic did not specify why they had changed the schedule and then changed it back.
What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is expected to have a futuristic theme, perhaps similar to Neo Tilted, an old POI. This was confirmed by both HYPEX and ShiinaBR, who are among the most reliable leakers on the scene.
Per leaks, the secret skin of the battle pass has been revealed to be Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. It's unclear whether the popular anime will get a full crossover with other skins, cosmetics, and in-game items, but the secret skin has at least been revealed.
Eren Yeager is expected to be added to the game later in the season along with his Omni-Directional Mobility Gear, which should work like Spider-Man's Web Shooters from Chapter 3 Season 1.
Leaks also suggest that new and old POIs, including Lucky Landing and Tilted Towers, are coming to the map.
This is also the season that's expected to introduce first-person mode. This was leaked a few seasons ago and is apparently about to come into the game finally. This will be an alternate mode, as Fortnite will remain a mostly third-person point of view.
Additionally, with May 4 coming during Chapter 4 Season 2, the Star Wars items are expected to return to the game. They will also reportedly be adding two new Star Wars characters.
Note that much of this is based on leaks. It cannot be treated as fact until Epic Games confirms it or it shows up in the game.
