Where to find the Boom Sniper in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

Since its debut in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, the Boom Sniper has been a popular Exotic gun. Not many weapons use Heavy Ammo, but this is perhaps the best. Instead of firing sniper shots, it shoots Clingers, which removes the need for pristine accuracy and can make the weapon far more useful.

However, Exotic weapons are exceedingly rare to come by. The Boom Sniper has scarcely been available since it was introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 and is generally hard to acquire.

However, it's often available from an NPC. In previous seasons, the Scientist has sold it for gold bars. This is not the case in Chapter 4, which makes it difficult to find the weapon.

How to get the Boom Sniper in Fortnite Chapter 4

Step 1: Open the application

The first step is to open the game up. If you haven't played since before Tuesday, you must download and install the update. That said, it may have been installed automatically. After that, open up the game on whatever device you are using.

Step 2: Login and start a match

Once you log in, start up a match: either in Solo, Duos, Trios, Squads, or any Zero Build playlist. The Boom Sniper can be bought from any of these. It can also be found in Creative, but not Save the World. That said, finding it in Creative mode won't help much.

Step 3: Land in Faulty Splits

Faulty Splits will be a popular POI thanks to these vending machines, the presence of Cold Blooded NPCs, and the vault that can now be found there. Nevertheless, this is where the vending machines are present.

Step 4: Go to a vending machine

There can be two vending machine options. Notably, Ace's Armory vending machines are a little more common than Ace's Exotics vending machines. If you seek one of the former, you're out of luck. In the case of the Exotic Fortnite vending machine, you can search for it and see if it has the Boom Sniper.

If it's not an Exotic machine, you'll have to try again during another match. If it does, then you'll have completed a challenge and have perhaps the best Exotic weapon in the game. Notably, you can also buy the gun from the standard vending machine.

It has the following stats:

  • DPS: 10 (impact) 75 (explosion)
  • Damage: 10 (impact) 75 (explosion)
  • Fire Rate: 1
  • Magazine: Size 5
  • Reload Time: 4.1 seconds
  • Critical Hit Damage: 2.5x multiplier

Remember that you can't keep the gun if you die or win, so you may want to consider spending the gold. However, since there are vending machines, it can be purchased again in another Fortnite match.
