About Fortnite

Fortnite is an online game developed by Epic Games and released in 2017. It currently features three different game modes, all of which share the same basic gameplay and game engine.

Save the World: A cooperative defense-shooter-survival game for up to four players. The players take the role of commanders of home base shelters, collecting resources, saving survivors, and defending equipment that helps to either collect data on the storm or to push back the storm. Upon completing missions, players are awarded a number of in-game items, which include hero characters, weapon and trap schematics, and survivors, all of which can be leveled up through gained experience to improve their attributes. Save the World is available only for Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Fortnite Battle Royale: This is a free-to-play battle royale mode where up to 100 players compete to be the last person standing. Players are dropped from a "Battle Bus" that travels around the game's map. As they drop without any weapons or items, players must scrounge for weapons, items, resources, and even vehicles while trying to stay alive. The safe region of the map reduces in size during the course of a match owing to an impending storm; players beyond that storm’s boundaries receive damage and can be eventually eliminated. This forces the remaining players into smaller regions, encouraging intense battles to take place. In the end, the last player, pair, or squad standing is crowned the winner. Battle Royale mode is available for Windows, macOS, Console, and also mobile devices.

Fortnite Creative: This is a sandbox game mode where players have total freedom to create everything from the game on an island, including battle arenas, race courses, platforming challenges, and more. Like Battle Royale, Fortnite’s creative mode is available for Windows, macOS, Console, and also mobile devices.
