With the Free Fire OB40 Advance Server in full swing, there's only a few days left before Garena officially rolls out the highly anticipated update globally. This client serves as a precursor to the update wherein the developers rigorously test out all the upcoming features over the course of multiple days to provide a better experience with the eventual launch of the update.
It will be the third major update of the year, and the developers have been testing a new user interface, the Sonia character, the Pug pet, alongside many other quality-of-life features for it. Here are the details of the ongoing Advance Server and the release date of the upcoming patch.
When is the Free Fire OB40 update expected to be released?
Considering the trends of past updates, the Free Fire OB40 update will be released on May 31, 2023, a day before Clash Squad Ranked Season 18 concludes. A relevant post on the game's MEA-English Instagram handle revealed that the update will go live on this date.
On patch day, the game is expected to remain inaccessible for a few hours due to the pre-announced maintenance break. Although the duration of this break is reduced, players won't be able to access the game even after downloading the update until the servers are back online.
On the other side of the maintenance break, players will be greeted with a bunch of new events, activities, modes, and features that will likely keep them busy for a considerable amount of time.
New Free Fire OB40 Advance Server
Garena officially opened the gates to the OB40 Advance Server on May 19, 2023. Individuals will still have a few days to get a first-hand experience of new features before its conclusion on May 29, 2023. The application is only available on the Android platform, and additionally, access is restricted to players with an Activation Code.
Interested individuals can get this code by registering on the official website. Alternatively, they can even use the Activation Codes from here. These codes can only be used once, which is why gamers are advised not to share them.
Alongside the option to test features, players will also get an opportunity to report game-breaking bugs so that Garena can fix these before the features go live. Users can report glitches from the official Advance Server website and also stand a chance to receive free diamonds in the global version of the game.
Note: Due to the government-imposed restrictions, Indian users are advised to avoid playing Free Fire. However, they may engage in the MAX version of the battle royale title, which is not on the banned applications list.
