Palworld is among the most forgiving games released so far in 2024. It runs well on most gaming laptops with a couple of tweaks to the video settings. The game's visual language doesn't push for realism, which allows more modest hardware to deliver playable framerates without relying too heavily on lower graphics options and resolutions.

However, the game only supports DLSS as its upscaling technology. Thus, older Nvidia cards and AMD GPUs will have to rely on some settings tweaks to manage a playable FPS in the title. It is recommended to spend some time in the settings menus before you get started for the best experience.

In this guide, we have listed the ideal settings combinations for gaming laptops in Palworld. There are separate recommendations for slightly older devices and high-end machines with the most powerful graphics chips.

Best Palworld graphics settings for low-end gaming laptops

Low-end gaming laptops, like those with an RTX 2050 or weaker, don't have the rendering prowess to play Palworld at High settings without framerate issues. For the best experience on these devices, we recommend a mix of Medium and Low settings for a smooth framerate at 1080p.

If your GPU supports DLSS, set it to the Quality preset for a slight boost in framerates. However, most gaming laptops with slightly older hardware won't have access to Nvidia's upscaling tech.

The following settings list works best for Palworld:

Graphics

  • Presets: Custom
  • Screen mode: Full screen
  • Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Max FPS: No limit
  • V Sync: Off
  • Motion blur: Off
  • Anti aliasing: Off
  • View distance: Low
  • Grass details: Low
  • Shadows: Low
  • Effects quality: Medium
  • Texture quality: Low

DLSS

  • DLSS: Quality (if available)

Camera

  • Field of view: 75
  • Camera shake: On
  • Ride camera shake: 1

Best Palworld graphics settings for high-end gaming laptops

Most high-end gaming laptops have enough rendering prowess to play Palworld beyond 1080p resolutions. Some devices, like the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i that I reviewed a while back shipped with a 2560 x 1600 display built-in. Given it bundles the RTX 4070 laptop GPU, Palworld runs perfectly fine at this resolution.

We recommend a mix of High and Epic graphics settings for the best experience on high-end laptops. This ensures the game looks decent while also enabling high framerates.

You can set DLSS to Quality if your laptop GPU supports the tech. Otherwise, turning it off on higher-end devices won't be much of a problem either.

The detailed settings list for Palworld is as follows:

Graphics

  • Presets: Custom
  • Screen mode: Full screen
  • Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Max FPS: No limit
  • V Sync: Off
  • Motion blur: Off
  • Anti aliasing: TAA
  • View distance: High
  • Grass details: High
  • Shadows: High
  • Effects quality: Epic
  • Texture quality: High

DLSS

  • DLSS: Quality (if available)

Camera

  • Field of view: 75
  • Camera shake: On
  • Ride camera shake: 1

Most laptops can handle Palworld with the above setting tweaks enabled. The game is among the better-optimized titles to launch on PC this year. Hence, GPUs with 4 GB VRAM or lower don't have much of a problem pumping out playable framerates at 1080p resolutions. Laptops with more capable graphics processors can deliver over 60 FPS easily.
