Ghost of Tsushima PC system requirements for the Director's Cut port provide a clear overview of whether your system can run the game. Much like Nixxes' previous PlayStation PC ports, Ghost of Tsushima's PC version comes with support for a variety of configurations, starting from lower-end GPUs like AMD's RX 5500XT and going all the way to RTX 4080 for the premium 4K 60fps experience.
Alongside the system requirements for the game, Nixxes also revealed the "PlayStation Overlay." This aims to bridge the gap between PC and PS5 players and make cross-play much more seamless between the two platforms. While the PlayStation Overlay is entirely optional, it is a cool new initiative from PlayStation bringing parity between their PC and console libraries.
That said, here's everything you need to know about Ghost of Tsushima PC system requirements, PlayStation Overlay, and more.
What are Ghost of Tsushima PC system requirements?
The system requirements for Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut:
Given it's one of the most visually impressive open-world games on the PS5, many players might have some concerns regarding Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut's CPU requirements. Fortunately, on the CPU side of things, Ghost of Tsushima PC isn't that demanding, with the recommended ships being the Zen 3 Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 5 3600.
Surprisingly enough, the memory requirements for the game seem to be quite low, with 8GB being the bare minimum, and the recommended, even for 4K60fps being 16GB.
Additionally, the game seems to ship with support for traditional HDDs, but Nixxes recommends using an SSD. This isn't particularly surprising considering Ghost of Tsushima, at its core, is a PlayStation 4 title, with the PS5 version being virtually identical with an unlocked framerate and support for 4K resolution.
What is the PlayStation Overlay in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut?
Ghost of Tsushima is the first PlayStation PC title to ship with the PlayStation Overlay, which much like Steam or Epic Games' in-game overlays allows you to access features like PlayStation trophies, your friends list, and also your PSN account, without having to quit the game. PlayStation Overlay is also necessary for cross-play in the Legends mode.
What makes the PlayStation Overlay unique is that it essentially bridges the gap between PS5 and PC, allowing you to unlock trophies for PlayStation games, just like you would on the PS5. Do note that Ghost of Tsushima does support Steam achievements, but you can also choose to use PlayStation Overlay instead.
