Intel recently unveiled its Arc B580 12 GB and B570 10 GB graphics cards. Both are sub-$300 offerings designed to target the entry-level market. Intel has positioned them to compete against Nvidia's RTX 4060 and AMD's RX 7600 GPUs. Both cards are cheaper than their competitors, giving gamers plenty of reason to opt for them.
While the Arc B570 isn't available yet, Intel has already shared the full specs list. This can help us make an educated guess about what to expect, as we compare both GPUs. This article will be updated with detailed benchmarks once more information is available.
Both the Intel Arc B580 and B570 offer strong performance on a budget
The Intel Battlemage cards have impressive hardware to help them squeeze the most out of the new architecture. Let's look at their specs lists before diving into performance differences.
Intel Arc B580 vs B570: Specs comparison
The Arc B580 12 GB and B570 10 GB are the only two offerings in the latest architecture from Team Blue. They utilize the latest Xe2 cores, which were demoed to deliver significant performance uplifts from the first iteration.
Both are based on the same BMG-G21 graphics processor. However, Intel has made some compromises to match the lower price point and performance targets with the B570.
Over the board, we see a cut of roughly about 10% in specs on the cheaper GPU. While the B580 has Xe2 cores, the B570 gets 18. The costlier variant has 2,560 shading cores while the other Battlemage GPU has 2,304. The B570 also gets reduced VRAM, although both cards pack more graphics memory than the competing RX 7600 8 GB and the RTX 4060 8 GB.

Intel Arc B580 vs B570: Performance comparison
The $219 B570 10 GB isn't available for purchase in the market yet. However, given the specs lists and some industry insiders, we can expect the card to be around 10-20% slower than the higher-end B580 12 GB GPU.
According to theoretical performance estimates, the card is approximately 19% slower than the higher-end B580 when playing video games. It is about as capable as the Titan X Pascal, a flagship GPU from 2016, and the last-gen Radeon RX 6600 XT. TechPowerUp estimates the cheaper card to be about 4% slower than the flagship Arc A770 from the last generation, which is quite impressive.

Intel Arc B580 vs B570: Final verdict
Overall, Intel has pushed the boundaries of its Arc GPUs significantly with its B580 and B570 graphics cards. Both are priced competitively, with the more expensive variant priced at $249 and the 10 GB GPU costing $219. The difference between the cards isn't much and in the end, it all comes down to how much you're willing to spend.
Coming to the competitors, the B580 is slightly slower than the RTX 4060 and beats the RX 7600, while being cheaper than both of them. This makes it a great choice for budget gamers. The B570, on the other hand, is slower than these GPUs and still doesn't reduce the price to less than $200, which leaves a bit to desire.
That said, we vouch for the B580 12 GB now, as it packs some of the best value propositions in the market.
