DownDetector, a real-time network outage monitoring service, began noticing PlayStation Network issues at around 6 pm on Monday, September 30, 2024. The number of reported PS network outages quadrupled since it affected gamers worldwide. Owing to this, NBA 2K25 is currently unplayable.

Even though most reports are from PS5 users, other devices are also affected, including the PS4 and PlayStation Portal.
