Some users are getting a strange "can't connect to server" error whenever they try playing Marvel Rivals on PS5. Many frustrated players took to Reddit to express their frustration and figure out if they were alone in this situation. As it turns out, they are not. Many have raised similar concerns regarding this error.

We analyzed PlayStation Network (PSN)'s network performance on downdetector.com, which is a site dedicated to monitoring real-time network traffic. According to Downdetector, PSN has been suffering from a major network outage since December 5, 2024, and hasn't recovered yet.

That seems to be the major cause of the "can't connect to server" error for Marvel Rivals on PS5.

Since it's majorly a server-side issue, you will just have to wait for Sony to fix its servers. However, some users on a Reddit post have suggested that updating and restarting their PS5 should fix the issue. We are not sure if it will work, but it doesn't hurt to try. That said, we also suggest using mobile internet to log in to the game.

While the performance of mobile internet won't be the best, it could at least let you play the title. If this doesn't fix the issue, you will simply have to wait for Sony to fix its servers.
