MSI has announced a new set of 2025 monitors that are supposed to deliver top-notch performance due to the use of QD-OLED panels. Each model brings something unique to the table, and the full range caters to different classes of gamers. All of the new monitors will be showcased at the CES 2025 event, but they are announced ahead of time to let gamers know what they can expect at the MSI booth.

MSI announced three new QD-OLED monitors

1) MSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED

The MSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED gaming monitor is the flagship model that MSI announced. It features a 27-inch tandem OLED panel with five layers, which allows this monitor to churn out significantly high brightness levels while achieving 30% better efficiency, according to MSI's claims.

The panel features a 4K resolution, which at 27 inches, results in 166 PPI for enhanced clarity and an excellent visual experience. Games and movies will look absolutely fantastic on this screen.

On top of that, the display of MSI MPG 272URX has a high 240Hz refresh rate, which should be enough for most competitive e-sports players. Apparently, this monitor has secured the CES 2025 Innovation Award for its visual superiority.

2) MSI MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50

The MSI MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50 is more of a mainstream gaming monitor. For this model, MSI's goal is to deliver the best esports monitor possible without sacrificing too much on the visuals. The MSI MPG 272QR features a 27-inch QD-OLED screen with QHD resolution to provide a moderately great visual experience.

However, this display panel has a native refresh rate of 500Hz, which should be enough for even the most hardcore gamers. This monitor has received both VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and VESA ClearMR 21000 certifications for delivering amazing contrast ratios and high brightness.

3) MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED

The MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED gaming monitor is the same as the MSI MPG 272URX but with a bigger screen for a more immersive viewing experience. It has a 32-inch Tandem OLED display with all the bells and whistles of the 27-inch model.

MSI has a new Mini-LED monitor with dual-mode technology

MSI also announced a monitor with Mini-LED technology that delivers a similarly high-end experience as the QD-OLED models, but it should cost less. The monitor in question is the MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M, which has several impressive technologies powering it.

It has a 27-inch panel with a dual-mode setup. One mode has 4K resolution with 160Hz, and another has 1080p resolution with 320Hz refresh rate (which can be perfect for gamers). The dual-mode technology helps users switch between the two resolutions/refresh rates, depending on the type of game they play.

Also, this Mini-LED panel has a total of 1152 backlit zones to achieve more precise LED controls. This should lead to a better contrast ratio with minimal halo glow compared to other Mini-LED monitors, as per MSI's claims.
