Nvidia has launched its RTX 40 series Studio PCs in India to target the creator audience. These machines are custom-designed for the best experience in productivity workloads like 3D rendering, video editing, and other GPU-heavy workloads. Unlike mainstream hardware that's fine-tuned for gaming, Studio-certified machines are designed to give creators the edge in terms of hardware capabilities.
You can purchase one of these machines starting today. They are available in both desktop and laptop form factors. Nvidia recommends watching out for a "Geforce RTX Studio PC" marque on the product page to confirm whether you're getting one of these devices.
What's different in Nvidia RTX 40 series Studio PCs?
The concept of the RTX Studio PC is simple: Nvidia evaluates the parts selection of these machines to ensure creators get a well-rounded system with all the bells and whistles for a smooth rendering experience.
All such machines have sufficient RAM and storage combinations to allow for the needed flexibility: we are talking about 32 GB DDR5 memory coupled with 2 TB of Gen 4 SSDs.
The hardware configurations are also pretty high-end — you'll usually get a Core i9-14900K and the RTX 4090 at the highest end. Certified premium laptops come with Core Ultra 7 processors with the RTX 4070 mobile GPU.
On top of this, the RTX 40 series X-factor also comes into play:
- Support for AV1 encoding with dual eighth-gen coders on these cards allows for faster video exports and better compression ratios than H.264.
- Dedicated hardware for ray tracing (RT cores) and deep-learning workloads (fourth-gen Tensor cores) allows for speeding up 3D rendering workloads.
- DLSS 3.5, with support for advanced features like ray reconstruction, helps in improved image quality output in creative software like Chaos 3D.
Nvidia has also paired all of these machines with its suite of creator-focused software like Broadcast, Canvas, and RTX Remix. This makes them a playground for developers and digital creators alike.
The RTX 40 series Studio PCs are up for purchase in India now. Do note that while they offer slightly better experiences than machines that aren't fine-tuned, they also come with a handsome price tag.
