Leak says Xbox Prime is the next-gen Xbox console

X user @TheGhostOfHope had posted in 2024 about a new Xbox console supposedly planned for release in 2026 with a new CoD title, but has remained tight-lipped about the topic for quite a while since then. However, this user made another post on January 6, 2025, with more details about this mysterious new Xbox console.

According to the leaker, this console will reportedly be called Xbox Prime and is still on track for a launch in 2026. They also mentioned that the CoD title planned to launch alongside the new Xbox could be CoD: Modern Warfare 4. However, they added that they don't know for sure if Xbox Prime will be the name of the next-gen console or if it's just a codename.

If you recall, the combined development platform for the Xbox Series X and S was codenamed Project Scarlett. As such, it's possible that the new Xbox console platform also has a codename. Microsoft may give the console a new name during the actual launch. However, we can't be sure of anything as of now.
