The Nvidia RTX 4070 Super was initially launched at a starting price of $799. However, after the release of its successor, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, the GPU has seen various price cuts in the last few months. It is now available at a starting price of $599.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT was launched at a starting price of $899, but it currently costs $699.

Verdict

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is the better GPU to buy in 2024, especially for gaming. The 7900 XT offers fantastic raw performance for this price range, and with its 20GB VRAM, we can expect the GPU to perform well at sustainable frame rates and a higher 2160p (4K) resolution.

However, if you have a budget of less than $600, the Nvidia RTX 4070 Super is still a great choice in 2024. It also offers better ray tracing performance than the RX 7900 XT, and with DLSS3 upscaling, you can expect performance closer to AMD's flagship GPUs, albeit at a lower price.
