The Nvidia RTX 5070 has finally been revealed at CES 2025. It was the first GPU showcased by CEO Jensen Huang as an ode to the efficiency improvements of this generation. We also got a glimpse at RTX 50 series laptops, which bring all the performance uplifts in a portable form factor. While Huang mentioned Blackwell would start shipping in January, we don't have an exact launch date for the 5070 yet.

The GPU packs 6,144 CUDA cores, 94 RT cores TFLOPS, and 988 Tensor cores TOPS, which is about 20% more than the last generation. This, coupled with the gen-on-gen improvements of the Blackwell architecture, translates to a high-performance uplift.

The GPU packs 12 GB of GDDR7 memory, with a total bandwidth of 672 GB/sec. Moreover, it is rated at 250W, which also makes it more power-hungry than the last generation.

When will the Nvidia RTX 5070 launch?
