The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G comes with a Full HD 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+ content. Samsung also provided a Vision Booster technology that aims to improve brightness.

The OnePlus 12R though has a larger 6.78 inch 1.5K LTPO4 AMOLED display and can also go from 1-120Hz in terms of the refresh rate, which makes animation look much smoother. This also helps conserve the battery when you are not scrolling on the screen. The display offers 4,500 nits of peak brightness, which is much higher than A55's 1,000 nits.

The OnePlus 12R is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which was the flagship chipset from Qualcomm in 2023. This means that it does well in benchmark ratings and points. It registers 1 million points on Antutu, which is much higher than the 700K plus score of Exynos 1480 powering the Galaxy A55.

This means the OnePlus 12R, with its Adreno 740 GPU, outperforms the Samsung device. It also manages to generate up to 90fps on PUBG, whereas the Galaxy A55 struggles to yield more than 50fps in that game. In Geekbench, the single-core and multi-core scores of the 12R are quite higher than the Galaxy A55.

Both smartphones have big batteries. But the OnePlus 12R promises a longer battery life, as its LTPO display helps conserve power. Moreover, its battery is 500mAh larger than that of the Galaxy A55. However, both phones can last a full day on medium-heavy usage.

The OnePlus 12R though outshines in the charging department, as it supports 100W fast charging, which lets you fully top up its battery in less than 30 minutes. In contrast, the Galaxy A55 takes up to 90 minutes to be fully charged with its 25W charging.
