The Nvidia RTX 50 series is rumored to launch at CES 2025, but fans who can't wait till then are in for a treat. A bunch of new leaks about the RTX 50 series have surfaced, giving us a closer peek at what Nvidia could provide with its new graphics cards.
The leaks point to new technologies such as Neural Rendering and Advanced DLSS. These could significantly reduce the VRAM usage in games and breathe new life into 8GB graphics cards like the RTX 4060, 4060 Ti, or even the upcoming RTX 5060.
In this article, we will analyze the leaks and see what they could mean for the upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs.

What do the new leaks say about the RTX 50 series GPUs?
The new leaks come directly from Inno3D, an Nvidia partner that produces and sells Nvidia GPUs. Inno3D held a press event and shared details about the cooling capabilities and upcoming AI technologies that will be included in its graphics cards.
The company quickly realized its mistake and removed any mentions of AI technologies, but various sites, including HardwareLuxx and Videocardz.com, caught them before their removal.
Here are all the upcoming technologies mentioned in the Inno3D press release:
- Advanced DLSS aka DLSS 4 technology: This is possibly the new version of Nvidia's upscaling, which should deliver even better image quality and higher FPS in all supported games.
- Enhanced Ray Tracing: Ray Tracing actually got a big boost in performance on the RTX 40 series and is all set to get another such performance boost with the RTX 50 series.
- AI-Accelerated graphics: Certain graphics processing in games can be accelerated using AI. It can also be used in content creation programs.
- Neural Rendering capabilities: At Siggraph 2023, Nvidia published a research paper regarding texture compression using neural networks. Those textures are significantly smaller in storage size, yet they were nearly identical in visual quality and detail level. If games start using neural-network-based textures, it could result in significantly lower GPU memory usage. Therefore, even graphics cards with 8GB memory will be able to run them without slipping over the VRAM.
- AI-Enhanced Power Efficiency: The AI can make certain adjustments to the game settings to preserve the power of the graphics card.
- Improved AI-Driven Upscaling: This feature is probably related to DLSS, but this will be designed for content creators instead of gaming. It will be able to upscale low-res video content to high-res and crisp quality.
- Generative AI Acceleration: Generative AI has been quite successful in the content creation industry, and the RTX 50 series GPU could boost its performance.
While most of these features seem exclusively available for the RTX 50 series, some may eventually come to the RTX 40 series. The two features that seemed the most promising were DLSS 4 and Neural Rendering technologies.
Unfortunately, we don't know more about these technologies or how they will be implemented. We will just have to wait for Nvidia to unveil more details at CES 2025.
