What to expect from the Sony Technical event?

The PS5 Pro was rumored to launch in September 2024, so we may likely see its launch given that this Sony Technical event is happening in September only. Several sources claim that the new PS5 Pro will heavily target Ray Tracing and/or 120 FPS gaming. This rumor was given more credit when a YouTuber, Moore’s Law is Dead, reported on the same with more leaks on a video, which was later deleted due to a copyright request from Sony.

This more or less confirmed his leaks. The same YouTuber also revealed that the PS5 Pro will have a new upscaling technology called PSSR, which supposedly stands for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. It should be the PlayStation equivalent of Nvidia's DLSS, which is superior to the FSR 2 technology currently used in the PS5. The PSSR tech will use AI to upscale from a lower resolution to 4K or even up to 8K.
