Almost all of the RTX 50 series laptop GPU models have surfaced, thanks to the keen eyes of an X user, HXL @9550pro, who spotted them in the official PCI Repository. Every graphics chip, whether released or unreleased, must be certified at the PCI repository, and that's how their names appeared on that site, along with the graphics die powering them.

In this article, we will discuss some laptop RTX 50 series GPU leaks and what sort of performance we can expect from them.

Note: This article is based on leaks that are subject to change. Readers are advised to take the information here with a grain of salt.

The X user, HXL @9550pro, recently noticed the appearance of RTX 50 series laptop GPUs in the official PCI Repository, which delivered some interesting details.

Here's the list of RTX 50 series laptop graphics cards that surfaced on the PCI Repository:

  • GeForce RTX 5090 Mobile / Max-Q [GB203M]
  • GeForce RTX 5080 Mobile / Max-Q [GB203M]
  • GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Mobile / Max-Q [GB206M/AD108M]
  • GeForce RTX 5070 Mobile / Max-Q [GB206M/AD108M]
  • GeForce RTX 5060 Mobile / Max-Q [GB206M/AD108M]
  • GeForce RTX 5050 Mobile / Max-Q [GB206M/AD108M)]

Apparently, the GeForce RTX 5090 Mobile will be powered by the GD203M die. This laptop GPU is also expected to have 24GB of memory, at least, according to recent leaks.

However, you may have noticed the inclusion of AD108M alongside the GB206M die. The AD in AD108M indicates it is an Ada Lovelace (RTX 40 series) die that has never been seen before. Not to mention, it doesn't make sense for Ada Lovelace die to be featured in an RTX 50 series GPU.

Therefore, it could be an error, or maybe Nvidia plans to reuse the unused RTX 40 series dies in the RTX 50 series. If it's the latter, then it is possible that the standard RTX 50 series GPUs, such as RTX 5070, may have the GB206M die, while the RTX 5070 Max-Q variant has the AD108M die.

Usually, Max-Q models tend to be lower-powered variants of the standard graphics card, but it could be different with this launch. However, keep in mind that this is just speculation on our part, and it could be different when RTX 50 series laptop GPUs launch.

Expected performance of Nvidia RTX 50 series laptop GPUs

It is hard to say how much of a performance boost the upcoming RTX 50 series Laptop GPUs may bring. If they are indeed powered by the new GB20x die, then the entire RTX 50 series should bring a decent uplift in gaming performance, but if there's any involvement of the AD108 die, then we are not really sure if you will see any performance boost.

However, it is also possible that the listings mentioned in the PCI Repository are wrong. Nonetheless, the official announcement should provide more information on the RTX 50 series, which is expected to happen at CES 2025.
