Google usually reveals new phones and other products in the month of October every year, but the company surprised us all by announcing the event a lot early this year. The "Made by Google" event will be on August 13th, 2024, when the company is expected to launch a bunch of new products, including the new Pixel phones and AI-related services. Google even shared a teaser for the new Pixel phones, so exciting times ahead.

In this article, we will discuss all the major hardware and software the company might reveal at this event.

Major announcements expected at the "Made By Google" event

1) Pixel 9 series phones

Google posted a teaser on YouTube, which had the Roman number "IX" at the end, indicating the announcement of the upcoming Pixel 9 series phones. Check out the teaser below:

From the teaser, it seems the new phones will follow the design language seen in the Pixel Fold phone. Therefore, they may have a narrower camera bar with rounded edges.

The new Pixel phones should also come with a new chipset, and we hope it can close the performance gap with other flagship smartphones.

2) New Pixel Fold 2

The Pixel Fold is over a year old now and needs a refresh both internally and externally. A new iteration, Pixel Fold 2, could be announced at the "Made by Google" event.

However, nothing has been made official about his foldable phone. Nonetheless, we expect the company to reveal more information or a teaser about the phone in the coming weeks as we get closer to the event.

3) Android 15

Google sidelined the Android 15 announcement at the last I/O event and completely focussed on the Gemini AI. Therefore, the "Made by Google" event is the perfect place to declare the general availability of the new version of Android.

Android 15 is currently in the beta phase and is expected to reach stability by the time we reach the event schedule. Most new Android versions get released in the month of August or September, so it should be no different this time.

4) Pixel Watch 3

There is a good chance we will see a new iteration of the Pixel Watch. The current Pixel Watch 2 needs an upgrade, as its bezels are quite thick and look noticeably worse in some watch faces.

We are expecting Google to reduce the bezels on the new Pixel Watch 3 (possible name) and also give it a much-needed battery boost.

5) New Pixel Buds Pro 2

Google may reveal the next generation of the Pixel Buds Pro at this year's "Made by Google" event, given that the current generation has not received a single update since its release, back in 2022. It can be speculated that these Buds will have some AI functionality built in, and we might hear more about it soon via leaks and rumors.
