DayZ creator Dean Hall establishes his own studio RocketWerkz
Dean Hall has been the brain behind the upcoming game Day Z.

Day Z creator Dean Hall is deemed to have established a new studio RocketWerkz in his native New Zealand. While the production of Day Z is in full swing, Hall had revealed his planned departure from Bohemia back in February, stating that he wanted to step down as the Day Z lead by the end of the year.

He made out a today public call-out for programmers, artists, and other developers interested in working at RocketWerkz, thus making it evident that the he is beginning to initiate the functioning of his studio.

According to Eurogamer, Hall hopes that RocketWerkz will become something like "Valve in the South Pacific.” Hall was responsible for releasing Day Z as a survival mode for ArmA 2 in early 2012.

Hall has revealed that he's struggling to find the sort of people he needs for his fledgling studio. "Community involvement is the source of my past success and is the major factor deciding if anything else I do is successful," he said.

"But I need to think about how that process should work, ensure we have the right people, study and reflect on the lessons learnt hard in Day Z, and most importantly — have something worthwhile to say. At that time, we will be saying much more," added Hall.

Day Z standalone, meanwhile, remains in development with a final release scheduled for 2016 (for more details on the upcoming game click here)
