Destiny is all set to have a planned downtime announces Bungie. The game will be down on February 24th between 1pm and 3pm Eastern Time. Bungie clarified that the game will not be affected in any way during this downtime instead, it is being prepared for bigger changes that will take place this week. The much-awaited Update 1.1.1 will be hitting Destiny later this week and will bring in many changes.

Destiny’s Update 1.1.1 will bring in a whole lot of changes. One of them being the mandatory matchmaking that will accompany Weekly Heroic Strike. So, gamers, no more solo runs. The game will now complete your Fireteam before you go head to head against the enemies of the Traveler.

There are many changes that are set to rock the game. However, Bungie has not revealed too much about this update. What we do know is that weapon balancing is going to be a major part of Update 1.1.1, so you may need to brush up on your weapon list before you start playing again. Pulse Rifles are going to get a big boost while other weapons may sacrifice damage in order to gain more accuracy.

We have to keep an eye out for the latest update. As usual the gaming community will debate as to whether the update is good for the game or not. I guess, we will just have to wait and find out.
