Bandai Namco’s upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball Xenoverse has been delayed by two weeks in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. The original release date was February 13th, which has now been shifted to February 27th, while the North American and Steam release date has not changed from the 17th of February.
So Australian, New Zealand and European gamers will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the title. The game will be available on February 26th in major retail stores like EB Games, JB Hi Fi, and Mighty Ape. North American and Japanese gamers do not have to worry about the delay, as the game is still slated to launch on the original release date in those regions.
Bandai Namco has explained that the reason for the push back was "to ensure the highest possible gameplay experience for our fans."
Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be focusing on events from the Dragon Ball Z and GT timeline. However, the game will not include the original Dragon Ball series. It is also the third game in the Dragon Ball franchise to feature custom character creation, the first two being Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball: Ultimate Tenkaichi. Custom characters can then travel through time in the single-player story mode.
The game will be out for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
