Developers Square Enix have been teasing fans with a new mysterious title, which seems to the related to tri-Ace’s Star Ocean series. The anime-inspired action RPG franchise has gathered a huge fan following since its first release back in 1996.

So, it’s no surprise that many of these fans are hoping for a new Star Ocean 5 reveal. Sadly, an update on the website seemed to have dashed these hopes after the word “STAR” was changed to “START”. However, a recent article by Famitsu has confirmed the existence of a Star Ocean 5.

According to Gematsu, an article on Famitsu announced that a Star Ocean 5 is now in development and will be out for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The site has also leaked tons of new information on the game. Tri-Ace will once again be in charge of the game’s development with Square Enix as act as publishers. The game is titled ‘Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness’ and takes place 6,000 light-years away from the planet called Feycreed.

Besides this, the article has also revealed few characters as well as their descriptions, including Mika Sorvesta, Lilia, Fedel Camus, and a few more. The battles will take place in real-time with attacks being determined by distance.

It is likely that the aforementioned website will be linked to Star Ocean 5, so hopefully they will update some new info on the game soon. The website will probably upload some new images or maybe even a teaser trailer on April 15th, but we will keep you posted.
