Insomniac games releases new trailer for Sunset Overdrive DLC

The DLC for the game is expected to arrive on December 23rd .

The latest DLC pack for Sunset Overdrive, The Mystery of Mooil Rig is one of the most anticipated creations of the Insomniac games. Last we heard the popular game was announced to be released for PC thus eliminating its exclusivity for Xbox consoles (check more details here).

The Mystery of Mooil Rig will be available for download on December 23rd on purchase or free of charge to season pass holders. Meanwhile, the trailer for the awaited DLC has been released and it appears to be very promising.

Microsoft's Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb makes an appearance in the video, saying the DLC takes place on an oil rig outside a Sunset City engulfed in a turf war between rig workers. There's also a healthy dosage of mutants.

Since the action takes place on a map surrounded by water, Insomniac added two new moves, “water dive” and “water slam-bounce” to improve the game's aquatic traversal. These carry over into the main game as well. There's a lot of new content teased in the video, including Major Nelson's mention of a “rivet gun”.
