WWE and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced a new mobile game called WWE Immortals which is a free-to-play game to be developed by NetherRealm Studios. NetherRealm, the studio famous for the Mortal Kombat series and Injustice: Gods Among Us, is working with Phospor Game Studios on the game that features WWE stars fighting it out in a fantasy WWE Universe.
The first three names have been revealed for the game as in-game characters, and they are WWE Superstars John Cena, The Rock, and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. The companies describe it as "a free-to-play mobile game that will feature epic Superstar battles in a fantastically re-imagined WWE world."
The characters all have a aura of glory around them as clear from the promo pictures, The Rock, looking very much like Drax The Destroyer from Guardians of the Galaxy and John Cena, dressed up in an outfit that would not look out of place on Superman whereas the final image shows Brock Lesnar, looking suitably angry .
All these representations of the three superstars paints a very dynamic picture of the upcoming game, WWE Immortals will be released on iOS and Android devices in 2015.
