The El Clasico is one of the biggest games in football between two of the most high-profile clubs in the world. The result of this tie usually decide the final La Liga standings and more often than not, whichever team has the upper hand in the head to head games eventually end up winning La Liga due to the total domination enjoyed by the duopoly in Spain.

The earlier El Clasico in the season was an exciting 1-1 draw where Barcelona took an early lead but were thwarted by the never-say-die spirit of Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos in the dying moments of the game.

The simulation by Fran MG takes place at the Santiago Bernabeu and features the strongest starting lineups of both teams. With the support of the home fans behind them, Real Madrid enjoy a great start and score within the first 10 minutes courtesy an 8th-minute header from striker Karim Benzema from a corner kick.

Barcelona subsequently come close with a Lionel Messi free-kick going just wide but Real Madrid look unperturbed and continue their domination over their opponents. The Cules do eventually get something to rejoice after Lionel Messi flummoxes defenders on the right wing to cut inside on his left foot and slide in a cross to Luis Suarez who makes no mistakes while converting from close range.

The match eventually ends as a 1-1 draw, a result, if repeated, will not please Barcelona as they really require a win if they are to harbour any hopes of winning the La Liga.

Nothing but a win would keep Barcelona in the title race. A draw or a loss would mean only a faint mathematical possibility of taking back the initiative from the Los Blancos; a fact which will be very hard for Barcelona fans to digest.

The upcoming El Clasico is going to be Barcelona manager Luis Enrique’s final one and the last game which can help him salvage Barcelona’s hapless season. Lucho will be hopeful of turning the tide which has been working against Barcelona all season.
