We have tried to score 100 goals in a single match and, believe it or not, have failed miserably. Even with the game length set at the maximum, we couldn’t manage to score 100 goals. Better still, he posted the video online for everyone to see. He set the match time at 40 minutes (20 minutes per half) and then off he went, scoring goals by the handful. Interestingly, he chose to play with Brazilian side Chapecoense against La Liga giants Barcelona.

As he netted the 100th goal in the 90th minute, the scoreboard at the top of the screen read only 10-0. The match finished at 105-0 in favour of Chapecoense.

(It is important to note that the YouTuber was obviously playing with the pace and acceleration setting for the CPU players at 0 and probably, at Amateur level of difficulty. Clearly, he had only one motivation, to see what happens when you score 100 goals. No wonder we haven’t been able to manage it.)

The stadium scoreboard, though, showed the final score as 99-0. Evidently, EA Sports had not accounted for such a phenomenon and had only designed the scoreboards to accommodate two digits.

Another noteworthy point is that all the players of the Chapecoense side were rewarded with a perfect 10 match rating. This included the goalkeeper of the side as well.

Considering all that effort that was put in it was a nice little reward at the end.
