Amitabh Bachchan has used social media platform Twitter to show his support for Rio Olympics 2016 bronze medal winner Sakshi Malik. This came after a Pakistani journalist mocked the Indian contingent saying ‘the country is celebrating Sakshi’s medal as if they have won 20’.
India’s neighbouring country Pakistan did not win a single medal at the Rio Olympics, whereas India brought two medals home. The Olympics are the biggest sporting extravaganza in the world and to some sportspersons, even participating in the Games is a dream
Out of the 121 athletes, who formed the Indian contingent, only Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu were able to bag medals for the country in Rio.
