Following his win at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Tyrrell Hatton made it clear that he would take some time off. He also confirmed his participation in the DP World Tour Playoffs in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

On Sunday, October 6, Tyrrell Hatton fired a 2-under 70 to finish at 24-under, winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship by one shot over Nicolas Colsaerts. This marked his third victory at the event.

During the post-round interview, Hatton shed light on his schedule for the remainder of the season.

"So I will play Abu Dhabi and Dubai," he said. "Winning here this week allows me to take some time off, this was my fourth week in a row, and as I was saying, I really wanted to get into Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and at the start of last week, I was 94 in rankings and knew I needed a really good well-coached.
"I was prepared to play in Sotogrande, and maybe even South Korea if I needed to to try and make it to Abu Dhabi."

Hatton added that, given it was a Ryder Cup year, he was determined to earn as many points as possible, and for that, he was committed to trying his best even if it meant playing more events than usual.

"And not to make that sound as a negative," he continued. "It's more of if I need to play, I'm going to play. So I'm happy that I have been able to win this week and I can have four weeks off, and then I'll be fresh, hopefully ready to play some good golf in Abu Dhabi," he added.

How has Tyrrell Hatton performed in this season so far?

Tyrrell Hatton experienced several highs this season. At the beginning of the year, he surprised everyone by switching to LIV Golf. However, his decision paid off, as he won his first professional title in three years at LIV Golf Nashville.

Hatton maintained his strong form on the Saudi-backed circuit throughout the season, finishing fourth in the team standings. Speaking of the Majors, the Englishman achieved his career-best T9 finish at the Masters Tournament, though he missed the cut at the Open Championship.

Hatton also played in four DP World Tour events, including a victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
