Sony Open in Hawaii leaderboard 2024

Grayson Murray won the 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii, defeating Keegan Bradley and Ben An in the playoffs. It was his second PGA Tour win and second after winning the 2017 Barbasol Championship. He then won the winner's share of $1.49 million of the $8.3 million purse.

On May 25, 2024, Murray, who battled alcoholism, anxiety, and depression, committed suicide. As per NBC Sports, was diagnosed with social anxiety since 2014. The Murray family declared that a foundation would be established in Grayson's honor “to raise awareness and support of mental health and addiction challenges faced by individuals from all walks of life.”

On the beach at No. 16 at Waialae, Murray was honored by his family, fellow golfers, and the PGA Tour with a customary Hawaiian Celebration of Life service. In tribute to Murray's passion for the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes, pin flags were adorned with red and black ribbons, as per NBC.
