As teams solidify their positions in the College Football Playoff, several conferences are determining their champions through their title games.
Pac-12 Championship Game
(10) USC Trojans 31, (12) Stanford Cardinal 28
Santa Clara, CALIFORNIA-- In another all-California showdown, USC held off a Stanford comeback attempt to win their 1st Pac-12 Conference Championship Game and their 1st conference title since 2008, before realignment.
USC quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 325 yards and 2 touchdowns in the victory. Running back Ronald Jones II rushed 30 times for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. Michael Pittman Jr. caught 7 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown.
For Stanford, KJ Costello was reduced to throwing for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bryce Love rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown and JJ Arcega-Whiteside caught 2 passes for 89 yards.
Traditionally, the Pac-12 Champions, USC, would be getting ready to play the Big Ten Champions, Ohio State, in the Rose Bowl. Since the Rose Bowl is one of the College Football Playoff semifinals, with the Sugar Bowl being the other, USC would have to play in a different New Year's Bowl Game as Pac-12 Champions.
Big 12 Conference Championship Game
(3) Oklahoma Sooners 41, (11) TCU Horned Frogs 17
Arlington, TEXAS-- Oklahoma blew TCU away after a 24-17 halftime lead that led to a 41-17 win in the first Big 12 Conference Championship Game since 2010, when Nebraska, Colorado, Texas A & M and Missouri were members. This is Oklahoma's third straight Big 12 title.
Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield proved to be a true Heisman Trophy contender throwing for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win. Marquise Brown caught one of those touchdowns with his 87 yards receiving.
For TCU, Kenny Hill threw for 234 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. He was also TCU's leading rusher in the game with 51 yards rushing.

Orlando, FLORIDA-- On UCF's home turf, the Golden Knights and Memphis went back and forth until the end of the second overtime with an interception by UCF in the highest-scoring game in FBS conference championship history (117 points). Central Florida capped off a perfect campaign with a 12-0 season heading into the bowl season. UCF would be the Group of Five representative in the New Year's Six bowls.
UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton threw for 494 yards and 5 touchdowns in the win. Running back Otis Anderson rushed for 115 yards for UCF. Memphis wide receiver Anthony Miller led the receivers with 195 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Mid-American Conference Championship Game
Toledo Rockets 45, Akron Zips 28
Detroit, MICHIGAN-- After a blistering 31-0 start, Toledo let off the gas and gave up 28 points to the Akron Zips, but won the game 45-28 for their first conference title since 2004.
Toledo's Logan Woodside threw for 307 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win while Akron had to rotate quarterbacks all throughout the game, especially with the season they have been experiencing. Terry Swanson rushed for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns and Diontae Johnson caught for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Rockets for their 11th win of the season.
Conference USA Championship Game
Florida Atlantic Owls 41, North Texas Mean Green 17
Boca Raton, FLORIDA-- FAU head coach Lane Kiffin enjoyed his first season at the helm for the Owls, giving them their first conference championship since sharing the Sun Belt championship in 2007. FAU also enjoyed their first ever 10-win season since joining FBS in 2005.

A good chuckle happened when FAU running back John Franklin III, released the ball prior to crossing the goal line in celebration. The play was originally called a touchdown, but changed to a fumble after reviewing the play, giving North Texas the ball after they recovered it in their end zone for a touchback.
Southeastern Conference Championship Game
(6) Georgia Bulldogs 28, (2) Auburn Tigers 7
Atlanta, GEORGIA-- Georgia avenged an earlier loss to the Tigers with a 28-7 victory and their first SEC Title since 2005. The loss might send Auburn out and might put Georgia into the College Football Playoff. Georgia went on a 28-0 run after giving up the first touchdown to Auburn.
Jake Fromm passed for 183 yards and a touchdown for Georgia while D'Andre Swift rushed for 88 yards and Mecole Hardman caught for 67 yards in the win.

Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game
(1) Clemson Tigers 38, (7) Miami, FL Hurricanes 3
Charlotte, NORTH CAROLINA-- Clemson won their third consecutive ACC Championship with a dominating performance against the Hurricanes. The Tigers led by as many as 38-0 after 3 quarters to guarantee a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Kelly Bryant of Clemson threw for 252 yards and a touchdown in the win. Bryant even rushed for a touchdown.
The 38 points were the most given up by the Hurricanes in a single game this season. This is also Miami's first appearance in the ACC Championship Game since joining the ACC in 2014.
Big Ten Conference Championship Game
(8) Ohio State Buckeyes 27, (4) Wisconsin Badgers 21
Indianapolis, INDIANA-- Despite 3 turnovers, Ohio State defeated Wisconsin 27-21. Not only did they destroy the Badgers' chance for a perfect season, they may have cost Wisconsin a spot in the College Football Playoff.
JT Barrett threw for 211 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the win. JK Dobbins rushed for 174 yards. Terry McLaurin caught 2 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown in the win. The Buckeyes won their first Big Ten title since 2014.
For Wisconsin, Alex Hornibrook threw for 229 yards and 2 interceptions. Johnathan Taylor rushed for 41 yards. Danny Davis III caught 3 passes for 50 yards. The Badgers haven't won the Big Ten Championship since winning back to back championships in 2011, the first Big Ten Championship game, and 2012, when they were awarded the spot in the game after first-place Ohio State and second place Penn State were banned from postseason play.
An interception by Ohio State's Damon Webb ended the game for the Buckeyes.
Traditionally, the Big Ten Champion, Ohio State, would face the Pac-12 Champion, USC, in the Rose Bowl. Since the Rose Bowl is part of the College Football Playoff this season, the conference championship will be placed in a different New Year's Six Bowl Game, aside from the Rose and Sugar Bowls.
The conference championship game results will have an impact on the College Football Playoff selection and pairings, which would be announced Sunday. The two semifinals will be played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California and the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana, both on January 1st. The National Championship game will be played in Atlanta, Georgia.
