At 7-0 and ranked #10, no one thought that the Miami Hurricanes were for real, as they had no quality wins. In each of their last two games, however, they absolutely stomped two quality opponents. They beat the Virginia Tech Hokies by 18 points before dismantling the Notre Dame Fighting Irish by 33.

With no losses, two great wins in a row, and the fact that they are heating up late in the season and seemingly getting better every week, the Miami Hurricanes sit at #1 in these power rankings, and there is no reason to have another team in this spot. If they win their remaining three games, including a matchup against the Clemson Tigers in the ACC championship game, they will be College Football Playoff-bound without a doubt and with plenty of great wins.
