2 - Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0)
Alabama is pretty much the consensus #1 team in the country across the board, but their close-call victory on the road at Mississippi State against the Bulldogs showed that they are extremely vulnerable. Injuries on the defensive side of the ball and an offensive unit that relies heavily on the running game is not a recipe for late-season success, especially with the Crimson Tide's remaining schedule.
People have talked about undefeated teams this season and how they "haven't played anybody", meaning they haven't beaten any quality opponents. Somehow, Alabama escapes that discussion despite the fact that they just faced the best team they have faced all season long and barely walked away with a victory. They need to prove they belong at #1 before they can truly be considered the nation's top team.
