Minnesota Vikings v Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins picked up a big win last week against the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings were coming off a bye week. The Vikings defeated the Redskins 38-30 in a wild offensive showdown.

Maurice Harris made an incredible one-handed 36-yard touchdown catch for the Washington Redskins in the first quarter. Harris caught two passes for 50 yards receiving and a touchdown. Later in the first quarter, Latavius Murray scored on a 1-yard rush for the Vikings. Murray finished with 68 yards rushing on 17 carries and a touchdown. Jerrick McKinnon was the other Vikings running back and he rushed for 32 yards on 10 carries and caught two passes for 15 yards receiving.

With the Vikings trailing 10-7 in the second quarter, Stefon Diggs caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum. Diggs finished with four receptions for 78 yards receiving and a touchdown. Later in the second quarter, Kirk Cousins scored on a 1-yard rush for the Redskins.

Adam Thielen caught a 7-yard touchdown pass for the Vikings later in the second-quarter for the Vikings. Thielen caught eight passes for 166 yards receiving and a touchdown. David Morgan caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum before halftime.

In the third quarter, Jarius Wright caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum. Keenum was sensational for the Vikings all afternoon. He completed 21-of-29 passes for 304 yards four touchdowns and two interceptions. Keenum must have been inspired because Teddy Bridgewater was his backup quarterback today. This is the first time Bridgewater was active for a game ever since tearing his ACL in training camp in 2016. He shed a tear in his eye before the game.

With the Redskins trailing 35-20 in the fourth, Kirk Cousins scored on a 1-yard rushing touchdown. He completed 26-of-45 passes for 327 yards one touchdown and one interception. Cousins only had five rushing yards on four carries, but he had two touchdowns on the ground.

The leading rusher for the Redskins was Samaje Perine with 35 yards on nine carries. Jamison Crowder and Vernon Davis each had 76 yards receiving for the Redskins. Nick Rose made three field goals for the Redskins (28, 21, and 55 yards). Kai Forbath made one field goal for the Vikings and it was from 53 yards out.

The Minnesota Vikings will host the Los Angeles Rams (6-2) in a huge NFC Showdown next Sunday. The Washington Redskins will travel to New Orleans to face the Saints (7-2) next Sunday.
