Brody Malone is already showing off his gymnastic skills in his second Olympics appearance in 2024. Hailing from Summerville, Georgia, United States, he started gymnastics at a very young age. He eventually joined Stanford University and was a member of the Stanford Cardinal men’s gymnastics team. Malone was a seven-time NCAA National Champion, four-time NCAA Team Champion, and two-time MPST Team Champion throughout his college career. He also earned NCAA All-American honors seventeen times in his career.

Brody Malone has also showcased his gymnastic skills at the World Championships. He also earned two medals in the process, of which one was gold and one was silver. Malone participated in the International Junior Team Cup in 2018 and ranked second in the horizontal bar, third in the team and still rings, fifth in the vault, and sixth in all-around and parallel bars. He also earned a bronze medal at the Winter Cup in 2020. Moreover, he was selected as the U.S. all-around and vault champion in 2021, while also earning silver medals on still rings and high bar.

Once he was back at Stanford, he underwent a separate second surgery to fix the fracture on his leg. During this surgery, the cartilage damage to his knees and his torn meniscus were repaired by the surgeons.

Brody Malone underwent another surgery in June 2023, as per sportingnews.com. He had to undergo an MRI to determine the remaining damage to his knee. There, it was found that his LCL was fully torn and his PCL was partially torn. However, his ACL and MCL were fine. His final operation was to fix these damages, following which, he had to go through a series of physical therapies that included him relearning walking among others. His recovery process was kept per the Olympic trials in June 2024. He finally returned to competition in 2024.
