Fred Richard is a professional American artistic gymnast. He is set to represent the USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the all-around team trials, the 5ft 5in athlete finished at the top position and earned an automatic qualification into the Olympics. He will be joined by Asher Hong, Brody Malone, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Paul Juda, making the Team USA.

His full name is Frederick Nathaniel Richard and was born on April 23, 2004, in Boston, Massachusetts. Richard was raised in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He is currently completing his graduation from the University of Michigan where he also competes for the college team Michigan Wolverines.

At the 2023 Antwerp World Gymnastics Championships, he won a bronze medal in the Team category and another bronze in an individual All-Around competition. Richard has won eight medals so far in the NCAA Championships for Michigan Wolverines including three gold and five silver medals.

Richard won six medals at the 2021 Junior Pan Championships, including four gold and seven medals at the 2022 Pan American Gymnastics Championships with five gold medals. In the 2024 Olympics trials, he was the winner in the All-Around individual category and the High Bar category, which he considers to be his favorite. Frederick Richard is also known to many by the name Frederick Flips, and he has now launched an apparel company under that brand name.
