Olympic medalist Jordan Chiles, known by her nickname Chick, is an accomplished American artistic gymnast. She was born on April 15, 2001, in Tualatin, Oregon, to her father, Timothy Chiles, and her mother, Gina Chiles. Her parents named her Jordan as a tribute to the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan. Jordan grew up with her four siblings: Jazmin, Jade, Tajmen, and Tyrus in Vancouver, Washington, United States.

At the age of 12, Jordan began her professional career by debuting at the 2013 American Classic, where she clinched a bronze medal in the all-around competition and a silver medal in the vault event. She later became a member of the Junior National Team and made her international debut at the 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy. During this event, she placed 6th in the all-around and also helped the team win a gold medal. After competing in several national and international events, she officially joined the Senior National Team in 2017.

As a senior gymnast, Jordan competed at the 2018 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships, where she won gold medals in the vault, floor exercise, and team event, and also earned a bronze medal on the balance beam. She relocated to Spring, Texas in 2019 to train at the World Champions Centre with eight-time Olympic medallist Simone Biles. In 2020, She made her Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games and won the silver medal with Team USA in the Women's Artistic Team All-Around competition.

Tattoos of Jordan Chiles

Jordan Chiles has around 15 tattoos across her body. She began her tattoo journey with a striking rose tattoo on her left forearm, which also features the quote, "Where you are, I have been. Where I am, you will be," a tribute to her beloved grandfather who passed away in 2023.

Thereafter, she adorned herself with several significant tattoos, including the Olympic rings on her right forearm to honor her teammates, a snake design on her left upper arm, and a cluster of stars on her shoulder.

Her other prominent tattoos are a tied bow, an outline of two faces, and the phrase "little sunshine" written on her arm. She also has "golden" ink, "444" on her inner bicep, and several small tattoos scattered across her fingers and hands. Additionally, there is a long tattoo along her spine resembling the design of a yin-yang koi fish, which was visible to the audience when she wore a back-cut-out costume during her games.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Jordan won a gold medal in the Women's Artistic Team All-Around. While receiving the medal alongside her teammates, spectators noticed a small tattoo behind her right ear.
